Growing up in Coos Bay, Stacey Wilson remembers visiting the docks with her family and coming home with fresh crab and tuna. They’d eat some right away, then preserve the rest for later.
Now, as a Branch Manager at our Coos Bay Branch, she hears about industry ups and downs, including how far out the tuna might be on a particular day, or how the oyster beds are doing. And having grown up near a dairy farm, she also likes to hear insights from local farmers and ranchers during her daily interactions with them.
“I enjoy learning about the different industries we have here, up-close,” she says. “I always find it very interesting.”
Stacey has been with OPB for over 10 years, starting out as a teller and working her way up into Relationship Banking, Merchant Services, and Assistant Branch Manager roles before being promoted to her current position. She now oversees all branch operations in Coos Bay.
When she’s not working, Stacey enjoys skiing and taking in the variety of recreational activities on the South Coast. She appreciates the area’s abundance of beaches, sand dunes, lakes and rivers. “We have a lot to offer in our community,” she says.
Stacey says she appreciates how OPB supports employees who give time to local efforts, whether it’s children’s athletics, nonprofit boards or other organizations.
“I like the fact that we are encouraged to give back to our community,” she says.
Throughout her time with Oregon Pacific Bank, Stacey says she’s valued the bank’s supportive atmosphere and the friendships she’s formed with co-workers.
“It really is a second family,” she says. “I have thoroughly enjoyed working here.”
