Our Culture of Caring

Oregon Pacific Bank actively promotes a culture of community caring, and this culture has been developed and enthusiastically driven by our employees. Supporting our community is just part of the everyday banker life. In addition to our on-going financial contributions to several local organizations and events, the Bank and our employees also dedicate a significant amount of time to many worthy causes. Our employees volunteer over 4,000 hours each year. Helping others is one of our favorite things to do!

Sponsorship Requests for the 2025 Fiscal Year

Our application window is now open.

We welcome applications for sponsorship requests that will be considered for the upcoming fiscal year.

Application Submission Period: The application window for 2025 fiscal year sponsorship and donation requests is open on August 20th and will close on November 1st.

Review Timeline: Our sponsorship program operates within an annual budget, with each market reviewing requests relevant to their area. After the application period closes, we will assess all submissions and incorporate selected sponsorships into our budget, pending final approval. Please note that decisions will likely be communicated by the end of January 2025.

Request Limit: We consider requests for the amount of up to $2,500.

Priority Focus Areas: We prioritize requests that align with our core focus areas.

Youth Empowerment: Programs that nurture the growth, education, and well-being of young individuals.
Community Wellness: Initiatives that enhance physical and mental health within our communities.
Environmental Sustainability: Projects dedicated to preserving and restoring our natural environment.
Housing: Initiatives that address housing needs and promote stable, safe living environments.
Local Economic Development: Programs that contribute to the growth and vitality of local economies.
Animal Husbandry: Projects dedicated to animal welfare, care, and husbandry.
Arts and Humanities: Initiatives that foster creativity, cultural enrichment, and community engagement through arts and humanities.

Intended Use of Funds: We prioritize requests that seek financial support for specific fundraising events or initiatives rather than contributing to operational budgets. Our focus is on assisting non-profit organizations in their efforts to raise funds for impactful projects, community programs, and essential services.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for consideration, all requests must meet the following criteria:

The proposed project or initiative should directly benefit the communities currently served by Oregon Pacific Bank. We recommend reviewing our branch locations before submitting your application.
The request should fall within one or more of our priority focus areas listed above.
The requested funds should be explicitly designated for a fundraising event or initiative rather than being part of the organization’s operational budget.

Application Process:

Complete the online application form during the specified submission period.
Provide detailed information about the project or initiative, its goals, and the intended impact.
Clearly explain how the request aligns with our priority focus areas and benefits the community.
Include a budget breakdown that outlines how the funds will be used.
Submit any additional supporting documents that provide relevant context or details about the request.
Oregon Pacific Bank will get back to you with our decision by the end of January, 2025.

Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary Club

The Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary Club is all about service to the community. Its partnership with Oregon Pacific Bank (OPB) is successful because the two organizations share the same goal. Past Rotary President Tim Novotny, Rotary Secretary/Treasurer Tom Bennett and Heidi Proett, a credit analyst at OPB’s Coos Bay branch, explain why working together helps build a more viable economic community.

Children’s Repertory of Oregon Workshops

Melanie Heard, Artistic Director and Founder, describes how Oregon Pacific Bank became an early supporter when she founded the C.R.O.W. children’s theatrical group in Florence. Children’s Repertory of Oregon Workshops gives local children a chance to learn and perform. OPB helped through fundraising and sponsorships and by offering discounts on Merchant Services, Melanie says. Kim Erickson, SVP and Team Leader/Residential Lending Manager at OPB in Florence, explains that we support C.R.O.W. and other nonprofits because they provide unique opportunities and encourage a thriving community.
