Towing companies find road to success

Sooner or later, every driver will know what it’s like to have a breakdown alongside the road. It can be a helpless feeling, but Kelly Reed, owner of A+ Towing and Webfoot Towing in Eugene, says he and his employees are happy to be the ones who save the day.

“What we enjoy, I think, mostly about running this business is helping people,” he says. “People are in crisis situations. They have an accident, or their car won’t start, or it died on the freeway or a highway, and we get to help them.”

When he was first starting his business, Kelly turned to Oregon Pacific Bank for help. He started out with four or five trucks and now has well over 20 trucks in his fleet and employs nearly 30 people. His partnership with OPB has contributed to that success, he says.

“One of the great things about our working relationship with Oregon Pacific Bank is we’re able to grow as much as we want to grow with them,” he says.

Kelly says the business relationship he has with OPB has been invaluable because he’s always able to reach someone to answer his questions. “That gives me peace of mind,” he says. “When we’re in need, we have someone to call—and it’s easy.”
